Definitely an inspirational movie!!

I recently got the opputunity to see this film at an advance screening in Baltimore and loved it. This is a very inspirational film with a strong themed message. This not the sort of movie that one would expect to come out a major Hollywood studio. The themes of this movie are very Christian centered but they are also greatly uplifting. Annasophia Robb gives the performance of a lifetime as Bethany Hamilton who after an accident decides that that is not going to stop from acheiving her dreams of being a pro surfer. Aided with an A-list cast, they help make this film one of the best of 2011. Soul Surfer is such an incredible and amazing movie. I really like the message that it sends out to people. If that would have been me in Bethany's place, I wouldn't be able to do half the stuff that she did after the attack. That girl is incredible and amazing herself. I really respect her for being able to go back out into the water after the attack. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to do that. I would have just stuck with pools. I probably wouldn't have even gone into a pool for a while. Bethany is an incredibly brave girl, and I absolutely admire her. I think all of the actors did a superb job portraying their characters, and the actors who played Bethany's brothers actually did look like the real Bethany's brothers. Carrie Underwood is an extremely natural actress. Her lines didn't seemed forced like some singers-turned-actors/actresses do. This movie is great for the whole family. I'm going to tell my family to go see it ASAP.

I've been watching trailers for this movie for months and to finally get to take my family to see it in our own town was the greatest feeling in the world! It completely lived up to my anticipation and more. I hope everyone I meet goes to see this movie at least once. I'm planning on going back with our youth group and then maybe again with my fiends and their children! What an impact! GREAT JOB SONY!!!

Seeing Soul Surfer is an incredibly beautiful and inspiring experience The many dazzling surfing scenes and gorgeous Hawaiian scenery with such excellent cinematography make the movie worth seeing for that alone. My friends & I (non-Christians) ileft the theater feeling uplifted & wanting to see it again. Such an awesomel (true) story, and very artfully executed . Every moment is fully captivating. Robb?s portrayal of Bethany is marvelous. Quaid and Hunt are excellent. The movie is not only great for families, but anyone of any age who?s faced challenges in their life (who hasn?t?). The shark attack scene is artfully underplayed by the director and writers, and not too shocking for children. The religious element does not overshadow the universality of the film It?s a story of courage, perseverance, and the resilience of the human spirit. Soul Surfer leaves you with a positive-after-glow that you wake up with the next day and want to tell all your friends about.
